Wishes for a Mother

hi there peeps...

Mother's Day is approaching and i would like to share a card that i whip up late Sunday afternoon. I am liking this long weekend as i am able to just relax and do not hurry on things. The most important part that i like is that i got plenty of time with my family and some crafting time as well...

I have got this Retired DSP from SU! called Holiday Treasures. It is a nice DSP for x'mas theme but within the DSP there is this flower paper that i really love. It can be used for anything especially for female card with vintage feel. I sponged the edges and stamped the sanded background on the paper.
I am using the same colour theme as the flower paper and added some bling using glitter on the butterfly. Lil' bit of pearls for the flower adding a nice soft touch
to the card. For the inside, i stamped some backgrounds and used early espresso for the sentiments. I hope the sentiment can be read easily with the layering of stamped images behind it. The sentiment is irish blessing that says: "May your troubles be less and your blessings be more and nothing but happiness come through your door". Wonderful...wonderful blessings for a beautiful mother.

CS: Old Olive, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, (all SU!); DSP: Holiday Treasures (retired SU!); Inks: Old olive, Early Espresso, Close to cocoa (retired) - all SU!; Stamp Sets: Sanded, Bliss (SAB'11), Occasional Greetings (all SU!), Blessings (Verve); Others: Pearls, Olive Glitter, Choc Chip GG Ribbon, Sponges (all SU!), Nesti Label 4

I hope that you enjoy my card and i will definitely come back with more mother's day card
